For those with an interest in Victorian buildings, a national photographic exhibition – entitled ‘Saving a Century’ is running throughout May at the Old Library, York Road, Leamington Spa.

Kineton History Society will be hosting a talk by James Bond on the deserted medieval villages of Warwickshire and Worcestershire on Friday 18th May at 7.30pm in the village hall.

The next meeting of Warmington Heritage Group is in the nearby village of Tysoe. A guided walk and talk around this very interesting place will set off from Tysoe Parish Church, meeting at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start.

A one day school titled ‘Introduction to the archaeology of Roman Warwickshire’ is being run by WHG member David Freke on Tuesday, June 12th in Warwick. For more information click here.

The popular family archaeology event is back for the third year in a row at the National Herb Centre, Warmington on Sunday July 15th. Organised by WHG as part of the national Festival of British Archaeology, admission, archaeology and talks are free. A small charge to cover the cost of craft materials will be made.

Plans are now being made for the WHG trip to Letocetum and Lichfield on Saturday 11th August. This promises to be a memorable trip which blends archaeology, architecture, treasures, pilgrimage and human interest.
